I think it rules if you can make this work. Connection is woefully poor for me on these things away from the cities, although I guess it can be a small price to pay :)
In the last picture, is it mirrored, or is that SUV/truck thing on the wrong side of the road?

Heading “toward” Reno on 395 would be much more accurate, as the only way to get to Tahoe from 395 is on one of I-80, SR-431, US-50 or SR-88 south of Carson City.
Peter, neither. US395 north- and south-bound are entirely different roadways north of Reno and combine before the city limit, similar to I-80 west- and east-bound through the Sierra Foothills.
