Babbling in Portugese

May 10th, 2007

Brazilian Rails expert and author, Fabio Akita I recently did an interview with me for his Portuguese Rails weblog.

I bet you didn’t know I was fluent in Portuguese, did you?!

If, for some reason, you don’t read Portuguese, he’s been kind of enough to translate the interview into English here.

Fabio has an excellent interview style. I really enjoyed it and I think it came out really well. Fabio has been doing a ton of other interview lately in an effort to shine a light on Rails in Brazil. If you read Portuguese, keep an eye on his interview category.

Are you fluent in Portuguese? That’s new to me! I’m brazilian..

I’ve read the interview, akita is a great person in the brazilian (small) rails community.

ouch, i bet that was a joke. The interview was did in english… and Fabio only translate it in his blog. Lukcy of us, he kept both versions (english and portuguese) in his website.

    Heya Chad,

It was a great interview, it’s important to us, brazilian adopters of the language know more about the iconic people involved with it.

Albeit small, our Ruby/Rails community is tight knit and easygoing. I can only hope that in, like, a few months we’ll have a RubyConfBR. =)
